How do you play those old games?

You spotted me playing a classic PC game and wondering now how to jump in yourself?

No worries! You have multiple options:

  • Community Wiki: My dedicated community wiki covers addition information about the games I play. From installation instructions to everything I find in my research.

Which software do you use for creating your content?

I use OBS Studio, a free and open-source software, to record and stream my gameplay. To keep my game audio and chat audio separate for editing, I rely on a virtual audio cable, which I will change in the future. Elagato Wave Link offers a lot more option on the audio front. Finally, I edit everything together in the studio version of DaVinci Resolve.

What settings do you have for OBS?

What games have you streamed?

Since 2024, I'm sharing my gaming experiences with you on YouTube and Twitch. Everything on Twitch is sadly lost after a few days, but the YouTube streams will more or less stay forever. Only if I have a problem with my old enemy Mr. Copyright Claimer, I will remove them.

Video Series

Beating the Pile of Shame

We all have this huge list of the games we bought years ago but never actually finished. In this series, I attempt to beat my huge pile of over 700 games!

The Mission: I play through the singleplayer titles I own, finally moving them from the "unplayed" list to the "completed" archive. If a game doesn't have a true ending, I just play for a while until I feel like I experienced everything the game has to offer.

Community Choice: After every victory, the community gets to vote on what I play next from a randomized selection of four games.

Veterans Welcome: I'm always looking for veterans sharing their stories about the games the love. So, if you have a huge passion for a game or know somebody who does, please send me a message!

Breakfast with the Captain

The Breakfast Show is the casual start to our monthly Stream Day. It’s where the community gathers for a relaxed "morning coffee" vibe before we dive into gaming sessions of the day.

The Update: I always invite an old guest back to hear their latest news and use the segment to also share what is new on the channels, upcoming events and on the community wiki

Live Q&A: It’s the perfect time to ask questions about current install guides, modding progress or upcoming hardware builds.

Exploration of Survival Games

Survival isn't just about staying alive, it's about hidding your valuable stuff! In this series, I dive into modern and classic survival titles to see how they stand the test of time.

The Live To-Do List: My objectives are in your hands. Use chat commands to add tasks to my journey.

Journey through the MMO Landscape

Join me as I travel through the vast, persistent worlds of Massive Multiplayer Online games. From the golden era of World of Warcraft to forgotten cult classics, no server is left unexplored.

Veterans Welcome: I often discuss the history and evolution of these landscapes, inviting viewers to share their own memories of the early MMO days.

Mod Spotlight

In this series, I’m diving into awesome mods from all corners of the PC gaming world. Whether it’s a mind-blowing graphical overhaul, a hilarious gameplay twist or a story expansion that rivals the original. I want to show you all the amazing content from my favourite games.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there!

We all know the PC modding scene is vast and ever-evolving with hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
That’s where you come in! If you have a favourite mod that deserves the spotlight, please let me know!

Things a new player should know

Well, as the title says, in this series I compiled all the essential information you need as a new player, drawing from my experience and the extensive research I do for my different videos. That way I can provide you the information in an easily digestible format. For an even deeper dive, you can soon check out my wiki, a treasure trove of detailed information to support your gaming journey!

What is...? (Ended in 2024)

Launched in 2020 with my awesome co-host 7Saturn, this series takes an in-depth look at our classic and beloved games! We explore all the reasons why these titles hold a special place in our hearts, revisiting past experiences and uncovering hidden gems.

For our discussions, we often invite special guests to the party. These can be community leaders who championed the game, modders who breathed new life into it or fellow content creators who share our passion for gaming history. During our talks we also go beyond just listing pros and cons. We delve into the game’s unique history within the community, exploring what made it stand out and the impact it had on players.

In 2023, I invited Owen, a master of video upscaling and good friend to join the podcast crew. So, we can not only explore a wider variety of genres, but also protect 7Saturn from venturing into territory that might not tickle his fancy. Owen’s expertise allows us to explore a broader range of games, breathing new life into them with his technical wizardry.

While the series concluded in 2024 due to scheduling constraints, its legacy remains a cornerstone of the channel. But it will always be an important series for me. Since it help me getting enough confidents to speak in english all the time and improve my editing skills.
